Overview

The Jira Workflow Approval catalog in the Template Catalog provides a prebuilt solution to integrate Jira-based approvals into resource provisioning workflows. This integration ensures that all resource creation requests are subject to formal approval through a Jira ticket, improving governance and auditability.

When a user initiates a resource creation, a Jira ticket is automatically created. The system monitors the ticket and proceeds with provisioning only after the ticket is approved. This enables organizations to enforce policy and approval checks without manual intervention.

Advanced Configuration

Admins can extend functionality by mapping non-default Jira fields. Any Jira field not covered in the default list can be added by specifying the exact field name. The system supports both single-value and multi-value Jira field types.
